Scientists and Caffeine

My first real post comes courtesy of my Sweetie, who suggested to me that there is a definite link between caffeine addiction and scientific endevour. While I'm not for a minute suggesting that all scientists are caffeine addicts, it seems to me that the vast majority of scientists I know are strongly drawn to caffeinated beverages... Be it their Peet's Coffee or their can(s) of Coke. A search of the scientific databases proved a lack of literature on the subject. I really think there's a government-funded study there just waiting to happen...
